The Tasmanian School Psychology Association was formed in 2012, having previously been the Tasmanian chapter of the Australian Guidance and Counselling Association.

It is the Tasmanian professional association for School Psychologists working in educational settings with children and adolescents. TSPA directly supports and advocates the interest of School Psychologists in Tasmania. 

TSPA's logo incorporates the colours of the Tasmanian Blue Gum, representing a uniquely Tasmanian association for School Psychologists.
