AUSTRALIAN PSYCHOLOGISTS AND COUNSELLORS IN SCHOOLS
Statement about Diversity
APACS believes in and supports diversity, inclusion, equality, and equity of all people. We recognise the traditional custodians of the Australian land, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and pay our respects to elders’ past, present and emerging. APACS members come from diverse social, cultural, geographic, and family backgrounds who are of many identities. We acknowledge the harmful impact of systemic racism in Australia and uphold principles behind the anti-discrimination and equal opportunity laws in Australia.
We stand together against discrimination and harassment against any person because of their race, age, gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, marital status, religious affiliation, or socioeconomic status.
